Nine months of preparation, countless hours and money. All for what? Food, challenge, peace, solitude, and just for the fun of it. Waking up at five in the morning to go sit in the woods, or the edge of a field, people think that’s crazy. But I think it’s what every body needs.

Whether you’re in a tree in the hills of West Virginia, or the swamps of Florida, or the wide open spaces of Montana, hunting wild game is an adrenalin rush. Any hunter can back that up. Whether it’s the nose of a Whitetail buck, or the sharp eyes of wild turkey, or the tough weather and terrain that comes with the hunt of an Elk, there is a challenge that comes with every hunt.

“The warm sun and the fresh grass, the sound of a turkey, Spring is here at last!
The colored trees and light breeze, the hunter sitting there in ease. The monster buck that he has been watching all year, is finally drawing near. Takes a shot that he knows he can make, then he enjoys some deer steak.”

I have to remember that hunting is not what my life is about, for it’s God and family that help me through the fiercest drought.

The Cold Steel Rifleman's Tomahawk.

Made by Cold Steel, the Rifleman's Tomahawk is made out of American hickory wood. I bought this tomahawk in the early summer of 2010, and it still impresses me!

Many things are good about this product:

1st- Razor Sharp out of the box- hard to dull, easy to sharpen!

2nd- Strong. This tomahawk is tough- I've put it to the test and it comes out great every time!

3rd- Its made with Americn Hickory, which in my mind, is one of the best woods. It gives it a good look, great grip and easy handling!

There is only one thing bad about this. If you were to watch a video or read about it on Cold Steel's website, they talk about throwing it. Now if you know what you are doing, and are experienced, that's fine, go for it. BUT if you aren't that great with throwing tomahawks, don't throw it. Mainly because a tomahawk is two pieces, the blade is going to slide up or down if you hit your target on the handle. But that's with all tomahawks, right?

Worth the money? By far, The best tomahawk I've used! Worth every penny!
